The Triorca Trust - Securing the future of Triorca

The Triorca Trust - Securing the future of Triorca

Diana Beckley MBE

It is with huge sadness that we share the death of our Trust's founding Treasurer, Diana Beckley MBE.

Diana and her husband Peter - to whom our heartfelt commiserations, admiration and respect, go out - did perhaps as much as any couple in England to support the people of our twinned city Novi Sad, during a time of extreme crisis during the 1990s, and worked tirelessly to extend those links and multiple affections between Norfolk and Vojvodina. It is somehow fitting she should have ended that mission in the city she loved, accompanied by the man with whom she shared this work.

In recent years, since she co-founded The Triorca Trust, nearly 400 of the most talented young musicians from the three regions of Vojvodina, Rheinland-Pfalz, and Norfolk, have gathered to perform extraordinarily exciting and moving concerts in Novi Sad, Koblenz and Norwich: this has been almost entirely due to Peter and Diana's vision, which we have been honoured and proud to help them realise.

Personally and professionally, we feel a debt beyond words: we promise to continue their work, and try to do some justice in all of this to Diana's name.
